Football Guy Pointing

The Football Fan's Diet is a weight loss plan that follows the structure of a full NFL football season. The idea is to make the journey towards better health enjoyable and fun instead of adding more stress. The philosophy is that improving your health should be like a football game against yourself.

Your Weight Loss Transformation Begins Here

The Football Fan's Diet is a diet plan that combines fantasy football and dieting. It lasts for around six months and includes various phases, or "seasons," that become progressively more challenging.

Just as the NFL has an Off-Season, Pre-Season, Regular Season, and Playoffs, our health journey also has different stages. By staying committed and a bit fortunate, we can reach the ultimate goal of optimal health, just like the Super Bowl.

The Football Fan's Diet combines the concepts of fantasy football and dieting, which might seem unusual.

Picture a program like Weight Watchers, but designed for former high school football players. Instead of using point values for food, you keep track of touchdowns and field goals. However, instead of earning points, you try to beat your own previous scores.

Pick Your Favorite Fad Diet Or Any Health Goal

To become healthier, you can choose a Daily Gameday Objective which is a daily goal that you set for yourself. This goal can be anything from meeting a specific calorie target to abstaining from smoking or drinking. It could even be practicing meditation. However, it is important to note that it should not involve harmful actions like harming animals. Also, keep in mind that popular fad diets may not be effective or reliable for improving your health.

The Daily Gameday Objective

Your Daily Gameday Objective is the one goal you have for the day that if you complete it you will earn a touchdown. This can be sticking to a certain calorie level, eating a certain type of food, meeting an intermittent fast, or whatever--such as not smoking!

On days that you successfully stick to your Daily Gameday Objective, you score a touchdown. On days you miss that health or fitness goal, you give up a touchdown. Yes, that is correct; this is a diet that can score on you.

Track Your Health Goals

At the end of the week, you should tally your scores for and against. The question is, did you score more than your opponent (yourself)? If yes, then you win. But if you gave up more points than you scored, then you lose and may need to work harder on losing weight.

It's easy to track your season on a spreadsheet and see your record at the end. The next sections on our blog will go into more detail about each phase. By following our tips, you might just be able to achieve a body that could "break the internet". Of course, we're not talking about your less-than-glamorous aspects, like acne and body hair.
