A rare photo of the Polish Prophet—a divine football prognosticator. Unfortunately, he is now on a two week losing streak. We blamed his prior week’s losing pick on unusually high solar flare activity. What excuse will we make up for him for this week? Hmm, climate change sounds about right.

Scoring Summary

  • Sunday - Steelers lose a tough one to the LA Chargers-33-30. Ben Roethlisberger looked a little long in the tooth, if you ask me. As far as my health, I had a super healthy day, despite going to the Hiland Bar and having a few beers during the game. All in all, I kept the calories down. I also fasted and ate a hearty vegetable soup with carrot-based ginger juice. Man, that was a blast of energy. No doubt about it… Sunday capped a very successful week folks. I need to repeat this success this week and even make my health better.

  • Saturday - Somehow I managed to win yesterday on a Friday! This is extremely rare. I went to the gym in the morning, but later found myself meeting friends at a couple new places that are not my normal haunts. Cap the night off at home. All in all, a pleasant day.

  • Friday - Coach was ready to proclaim a DGO change yesterday, but the fact that we scored a touchdown by not paying attention, has changed his mind. There is hope that a win is in the works. Of course, it is Friday and there will be some beer. But, is there a way to keep in reasonable? Let’s find out.

  • Thursday - Well, having lost Wednesday by a few apples, I was bit bummed out. I fretted that it was time to go back to Warrior’s Diet without paying attention to calories in the hope they naturally come down over time. I said screw, I need a beer too. Incredibly busy at work and I was just about done counting calories. However, something happened. I actually met my DGO this day. Maybe I should get those calorie days going then?

  • Wednesday - Was really pissed about not scoring a TD yesterday. If, I could have went to the gym at night, I could have worked down the calories for a score, but, alas, I was really run down. Oh, this is not going to be easy to get a Win. I will keep on. Working from home today. It is snowing. I should have a chance for the gym later. I need to keep it low cal today—and tomorrow. Wish me luck.

  • Tuesday - It is Taco Tuesday and Scratch has tacos on his mind. Today is a maintenance calorie day - or a “non-fasting” day. Does it really make a difference what it is called? The game plan is to adhere to some form of fasting during the day, that could be Warrior’s Diet style of 20:4 or it could be 16:8. In fact, the fasting in this particular case is to keep the calories down and the energy managed.

  • Monday (Dynasty Day) - So week three begins with a 7-minute HIIT workout on an app, plus mediation. The focus is on productivity, energy, and routine this week. As such, Monday saw Scratch hit the gym for a touchdown. He also avoided beer and stuck to an alternate day fasting level of 600 net calories. For the second day, Scratch hit Subway for an old school oven-roasted chicken sandwich with all the fixings.
