Daily Gameday Objective (DGO)
Let’s dig into the Daily Gameday Objective. This is what you will do day in and day out to achieve health, step closer to weight loss, or achieve whatever your goal is to complete your health transformation. It can be whatever you want. There are some criteria.
For starters, the key to success on The Football Fan’s Diet is pick a Daily Gameday Objective that is challenging and within your capability.
Keep the following in mind when picking your DGO:
Challenging - Is this something that will actual require a challenge and take you slightly out of your comfort zone. Don’t make it too easy, because you are only cheating yourself. For example: If you drink 10 beers a day and make your DGO cutting down to 8, I might think that is too easy. What’s the benefit to your health. Maybe if you cut your consumption down to 3 or 4 beers or and even a couple times a week, that’s challenging.
Capable - Do you have the talents to actual do the DGO. If you are a raging alcoholic, cutting your booze consumption in half is really not possible. You are not capable of doing that. You should check yourself into rehab instead. If your DGO is to score each time you run 10 miles and you can’t run a quarter mile without puking, then you are not capable of that DGO.
The point is—pick something that pushes but is doable and will show you real progress over your season.

Achieving Your Own DGO
When you achieve this Daily Gameday Objective - you score a touchdown. When you fail to meet this health goal, you give up a score. There it is important that it is easy to understand when you achieved your DGO. It should be simple “yes” or “no” binary proposition. Did you meet your goal for the day—”Yes or No?”
Don’t over complicate it. Keep it simple stupid, as they say.
What separates the Football Fan’s Diet from other fad diets,if that you keep score for and against yourself. Yes, when your inner food demons get the best of you, you award them a touchdown. It makes sense right? After all, they earned.

Your Daily Gameday Objective could any of the following or none:
Low carb diet
Carbohydrate Addict’s Diet
Once again, the point is you need to have a goal and that goal needs to be kind of fun, something that you can return to time and again.
