The Box Score

Box Score: Scratch 58, The Fat Man 12

Scratch at 306 on June 3, 2019. Is he losing weight? Hmm. This was in the morning after a losing Sunday that saw him pound beer and eat bologna sandwiches. He he was within the intermittent fasting protocol of 20/4 or did he abuse it that day?

Scoring Summary

PITTSBURGH (FFD) — This was a very rainy week. Luckily, however, Memorial Day (Monday) was serviceable and Scratch was able to get both yard work completed and while also getting the kids to the pool.

Tuesday Scratch drove right by Burger King but drove straight there on Thursday. Thursday turned out to be another a rainy, crappy day. On it, Scratch came up with this idea of playing containment with your health, which is what lead him to Burger King that day—does that make any sense?

This particular week will be remembered for the controversial health reversal on Sunday. It was nice and hot out and Scratch walked around North Park lake, which is a county park north of Pittsburgh. He walked and ran almost 5 miles, at a 30 minute clip. Great, right?

No. He then ended up at the Highland Bar to meet the buds and pounded pints of Miller Lite. At home he ate about 5 bologna sandwiches—yes, 5 of them. Even though this was inside the 4 hour eating window, Coach came down hard on him Monday and made this day a losing day (he gave up a touchdown). Rules changes are in the works Coach said, which will certainly be detailed on the upcoming Tuesday Presser.

Looking ahead to the current week. Scratch plans to rejoin Club Julian. Even though if you consider as many times as he went to the gym last year, that it was an absolute waste of money, Coach feels for about 10 bucks a week, it is worth it. If Scratch goes to Club Julian just once to watch a game playing on a gym TV, he will have saved at least 20 bucks he would have spent at the Highland Bar.

He was one more goddamn mulch bed to fix, which he let grow to hell in the past few years. Fix that and he can move on to the back yard.

So let’s have a look at his weight loss journey on the Football Fan’s Diet for this first week of Season 48 OTAs.
