McDonald's food is probably poison - right? Another failed day, if not binge, on the Football Fan's Diet

By Scratch

PITTSBURGH (FFD) - I almost had it in the bag, a win that is, but then that win eluded me. I ended up instead a with a different kind of bag: a bag of McDonald’s junk food.

I had a bag of McDonald’s crap. Hey, my dinner was pasta and meatballs. This was a bad day. The scale showed it too.

I had a bag of McDonald’s crap. Hey, my dinner was pasta and meatballs. This was a bad day. The scale showed it too.

4 double cheeseburgers, 2 chicken sandwiches, a large french fries and a four piece nugget. That is exactly what I ordered last night, after midnight under the guise of getting coffee at the convenient store because we were out. Yes, dammit, I lied about my food consumption and I hid it from my family.

That means I got serious food issues.

Now then, I didn’t eat all of that ill-gotten fast food booty. I shared it with my dog Coco.

She scarfed a lot of down as I watched a strangely fascinated video on YouTube about NASA’s effort to discover extraterrestrial life, and naturally, getting caught up on football news (Hey, I am trying to write a SciFi book too… For real: The Midas Protocol).

I had trouble sleeping too. Got up late and played catch up all the damn today - today, being Thursday. So what can I do to turn things around?

I am toying with the idea of alternate day fasting, but that has it’s pros and cons too. I think my biggest challenge is to successfully complete this simple DGO of fruits and vegetables during the day and a reasonable amount of good food at night.

Easier said, then done my fat friend. The gym beckons, but so does Thursday night football and I promised a few friends a pit stop. What do I do? Where do I go? Am I in an endless loop of binge eating depravity?

I do okay for a while, but then repeat the same old mistakes. Will I repeat them again tomorrow?

Well, I heard the whistle. It’s time to finish out this drive. I got the ball. Now what do I do with it? That is the question that faces us every day on The Football Fan’s Diet.
